Smoking Policy
Natchez Community Hospital is committed to the promotion of health and safety. Smoking related illnesses comprise one of the largest proportions of preventable diseases. Therefore, Natchez Community Hospital is standing by its commitment in providing, as close as possible, a non-smoking facility. Smoking is prohibited in all areas of the hospital unless specifically authorized in writing by your attending physician.

Intensive Care Unit Policies
- Only immediate family members are allowed to visit in ICU, and visitors are limited to two at a time during visiting hours.
- Please do not bring food to patients in the Intensive Care area, as they may be on a special diet or without food for special testing.
- Children under the age of 12 are not allowed to visit the Intensive/Critical Care Unit.
- Overnight visitations are not allowed in the Intensive Care Unit.
- No flowers or balloons are allowed.
- No gifts please.
- It is the request of the Intensive Care Unit staff that a designated family member be in charge of communicating updates in patient status to the extended family. This should be determined at the time of admission and a contact number for that designee for day and evening be included.
- Visitors must observe isolation, no smoking, and other hospital safety precautions. Visitors who fail to do so, or who create a disturbance, will be asked to leave the premises.
