ORTHOPEDIC SURGEON JEFFREY TRAINA, MD BEGINS PRACTICE IN NATCHEZ; JOINS NATCHEZ COMMUNITY HOSPITAL MEDICAL STAFF
(NATCHEZ, MS) Jeffrey Traina, MD, a board certified orthopedic surgeon opened his new practice in Natchez yesterday, Community Orthopedic Clinic. The clinic is located at 150 Jefferson Davis Boulevard, Suite 100. Traina comes to Natchez after more than twenty-five years of practicing in Illinois, most recently at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria, IL. He earned his medical degree at the age of twenty-two from Southern Illinois School of Medicine in Springfield, and completed his orthopedic surgical residency at Wake Forest University/North Carolina Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, NC, where he was chief resident. After completing his residency program, Traina was a clinical research fellow at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston and a clinical fellow at Boston Children’s Hospital, both of which are teaching hospitals affiliated with Harvard Medical School. Dr. Traina was assistant professor of surgery at the University of Texas Medical School in Houston and clinical assistant professor in orthopedics at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria.

The office hours for the Community Orthopedic Clinic are Monday through Friday from . Dr Traina’s scope of practice includes total joint replacement including hip replacement and knee replacement, arthroscopic surgery, fracture surgery, sports medicine, and treatment related to occupational medicine injuries.
